Did You know

that more than 20,000 students apply to architecture school annually in hopes of pursuing design at a top college or university in the U.S. While the college application process itself is generally introduced to students in high school, when it comes to applying to architecture schools, numerous additional steps are required, which may not be clear to applicants.

When applying to architecture programs, not only are standardized test scores considered, but in most cases, a portfolio is required from applicants. This can account for 50%, if not more, of the application. Sometimes, schools will also require an interview prior to application submission, and during such conversation, questions regarding prospective students’ goals and future aspirations are discussed. When applying to architecture school, it is also important to consider which academic path one would like to take. While some programs are four-year, others are five-year professional programs.

Although each college and university has its own curriculum, it’s important to consider whether or not the school that students apply to acknowledge the major as a STEM major and if they are design-focused or Tech-Forward. A lot is required to apply to architecture school, this may not be the case for other majors. However, as much as it might seem overwhelming and stressful, my goal is to advise and help prospective students navigate the process.

About Me

Who Am I?

Why Do I Want to Help You?

My name is Nahall and I am an architectural designer based in New York City. I have a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Syracuse University, along with a Post–Professional Master’s degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Cornell University.

I’ve not only worked in the field but have given services to numerous students as an architecture mentor and helped them make decisions along with creating strong portfolios and essays: when it comes to applying to and choosing the best architecture schools in the US or interior design schools ,I know all the inquiries at the undergraduate and graduate level. Mentoring and advising young students has become a passion of mine as I have spent the past six years taking on school ambassador, workshop leader, teaching and research assistant roles and now an ACE mentor group and NOMA alumnus.
